SEGi College Sarawak’s students learn how to be leaders

By Ms Josephine, Lecturer, Faculty of Education and Social Science

SEGi College Sarawak’s students from the Faculty of Education and Social Sciences recently had the privilege of attending a learning session conducted by Nabillah Rafidah, Corporate Affairs Lead at the Leadership Institute of Sarawak Civil Service.

The students got to learn how a government-linked company operates in the decision-making process and how it manages and motivates members of its teams.

Having been working for more than twelve years in the fundamentals of workflows in various companies, Nabilla talked about her job scope in the institute dealing with leadership programmes and relevant learning solutions for the Sarawak Civil Service (SCS).

The students learned that the institute is driven by its purpose to advance excellence in the public sector. It is constantly adapting to changing times, evolving from a training provider to a more strategic partner by developing competent public servants and leaders across different levels within the SCS.

This insightful experience is a great way for SEGi students to build their leadership potential.
