Future of Occupational Safety and Health: manufacturing industry

A webinar entitled “The Future of Occupational Safety and Health: Manufacturing Industry” was organised by the School of Allied Health and Sciences of SEGi College Penang in January 2022. It was streamed on 7th January and discussed the future of occupational safety and health (OSH), focusing on the manufacturing industry. The objective of this webinar was to give additional knowledge to viewers on the outlook of occupational safety and health, focusing on the manufacturing industry. It featured invited experts speakers from the industry, Mr Wan Mohamed Adlan, the EHS and Administrative Manager of UPM Raflatac and Ts Dr Ismaniza, a senior lecturer at UiTM Shah Alam who is also the academic advisor for the Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (DIOSH) programme of SEGi College Penang.

Mr Wan Mohamed Adlan highlighted the roles, responsibilities and challenges of OSH practitioners and the value of being looking OSH graduates.

Ts Dr Ismaniza shared the academic perspectives of OSH prospects and why it has become one of the most promising programmes.

This interactive webinar received great feedback from the viewers as they were given opportunities to ask questions related to the industry to the experts.
