Yunitha Selva Ratnam, a recent SEGi graduate, has excelled in her academic and extracurricular pursuits.
Ratnam received first-class honours in BSc (Hons) Psychology from the University of Greenwich in September 2022 and the Merit Award for her contributions both inside and outside the college during her studies. Ratnam was also named valedictorian at SEGi’s 21st convocation ceremony, where she previously earned a Diploma in Psychology and was a Dean’s List scholar from May 2017 to August 2019.
She thanked SEGi for providing her with an environment that valued academic but also personal and professional development. “As a psychology student, I was able to raise awareness of the importance of mental health among students and the general public through the Psychology Club, as well as participate in volunteer programmes like ElShaddai and SideWalk Talk Malaysia, where I honed my leadership, critical thinking, active listening, communication, and problem-solving abilities.”
According to the World Economic Forum, skills like these are highly regarded in the workplace and are becoming increasingly important for success. As a result, Ratnam’s experiences at SEGi have surely contributed to her future success.
