The Department of Psychology from SEGi College Subang Jaya was invited to SMK Seri Kembangan to give a talk on “Penetapan SPM.” The talk aimed to help students figure out what to do after SPM.
The speaker for the talk was Psychology Lecturer Wan Mun Chian, who brought along three Diploma in Psychology students, Jelena Ellyn Chong, Khugaan A/L S Sukumaran, and Merrasha A/P Pathmanathan, to help him out.
Wan shared some interesting topics with the students, including his own stories, the psychology of paradigm shift, creating a “dreamboard,” and how and where to go after SPM. The three assistance speakers also shared their SPM experiences with the students, who are still quite “fresh” from secondary school. The students were very enthusiastic and provided good feedback on the talk.
According to the Ministry of Education Malaysia, in 2020, 401,105 students sat for the SPM examination. With so many students, it’s important to provide them with the necessary guidance and support to navigate their future paths. The talk was well-received, and the students provided positive feedback. A special thanks were given to Elsie for preparing the transport and logistics for the talk and to the three student helpers for assisting with the event.
SEGi College Subang Jaya hopes to have more events like this in the future and attract more students to their talks. It’s important to provide students with the necessary guidance and support to help them achieve their goals and succeed in their future endeavours.
