SEGi College Sarawak is proud to report that our Leo Club members recently joined our sponsoring Lions Club of Kota Sentosa in a charity food fair held at the Dewan Masyarakat Bandaraya Kuching Selatan (MBKS) on 23 October from 8am to 12 noon. This event was a concerted effort by the clubs and a number of private companies to raise community funds for the Kuching Life Care Society in their Hospice and Palliative Care Project.
About seventy stalls were set up to garner as much help as possible for this caring community project, and our Leos jubilantly sold out their canned and dry foods by 11am, after having had the thrill of being visited by YB Prof Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government of Sarawak, and the mayor of Kuching South, Dato Wee Hong Seng.
