By Ms Norhayati, Lecturer, Faculty of Creative Arts and Design
SEGi College Sarawak is thrilled to forge a new collaboration with TVS, Sarawak’s television channel, which broadcasts throughout the country.
This industrial collaboration plays a vital role in maximising our students’ knowledge of the industry as they gain broader perspectives beyond the classroom.
Two lecturers, Norhayati from the Faculty of Creative Arts and Design, and Laura Albert from the Psychology and Early Childhood Education Programme, recently met to discuss collaboration plans with Rizal Zulkapli, TVS Deputy CEO. The latter will spearhead the partnership between TVS and SEGi College Sarawak.
Rizal, with his enigmatic personality, expressed his pleasure in this opportunity to provide SEGi College Sarawak students with valuable practical knowledge focused on graduate-ready skills for future careers.
The students will gain valuable practical experience working on real-world problems in an industry-collaborative environment.
Rizal has a vast track record in the broadcast media industry. He is skilled in Breaking News, Journalism, Television, Broadcast Television, and Storytelling, and is a strong media and communications professional. He is the anchor and producer for Rizal’s ASEAN, a fifteen-minute programme featuring young leaders in ASEAN countries discussing regional issues, including entrepreneurship, social enterprise, leadership, education, and arts and design.
SEGi College Sarawak is pleased and excited to welcome Rizal and TVS.
