SEGi College students taking the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology programme study subjects in seven general areas: Haematology, Blood Bank, Medical Parasitology, Medical Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cytology, and Histopathology. Laboratory diagnostic tests are critical for SEGi College’s Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) programme. Our students require clinical blood specimens to perform most of these laboratory tests.
To enhance the DMLT learning experience, the DMLT team from SEGi College Sarawak acquires blood specimens from the Department of Blood Transfusion of the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH). These blood specimens come in bags (complete blood components) and packed-cell (red blood cells) forms.
This collaboration between SEGi College Sarawak and the Sarawak General Hospital is beneficial for enhancing our students’ learning and building rapport between both parties in our SEGi commitment to providing the best possible education through the direct sharing of our industry experts’ insights.
Great things in education are never done by any one person. SEGi College Sarawak salutes the Department of Blood Transfusion of the Sarawak General Hospital.
