On March 30, 2022, an entrepreneurship lecture was conducted at SEGi College Sarawak’s Theatre Hall. The guest speaker was Mr Heineken Laluan, the CEO and founder of Timogah Sdn Bhd.m, a local e-commerce business from Sarawak. With over 7 seven of experience in building and managing his own business, Mr Heineken provided valuable knowledge to students who are interested in venturing into business.
The lecture participants included students from the Faculty of Business, Accountancy and IT, specifically those from the Diploma in Business Administration, Diploma and Marketing, Diploma in IT and BA in Business and Management, covering entrepreneurship and IT-related courses. This is part of SEGi College Sarawak’s continuous effort to bring industry into our classrooms.
During the lecture, Mr Heineken provided a detailed introduction of his company. Timogah Sdn Bhd provides an e-commerce platform for local farmers to sell their produces. The talk also covered career advice for the attendees. At the end of the session, Mr Heineken announced internship opportunities for students from business and IT background. A networking session went on after the talk ended whereby students gathered more insights on Mr
Heineken’s company and the opportunities available there.
