On 21 August 2022, Operion Ecommerce and Software Sdn Bhd visited SEGi College Penang for a collaborative meeting to discuss how SEGi’s final-year IT students can benefit by learning from these industry experts through new research projects related to artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
Operion Managing Director, Mr Lukas Tan, and the Programme Leader in the Department of Information Technology (IT), Mr Eric Kong, had a fruitful discussion during which several ideas were suggested to ensure that the planned projects can be implemented and adapted to the college’s current syllabus.
Final-year projects (FYPs), are an option to bridge the gap between academia and industry in lieu of an internship, and are academic assignments that all undergraduate students must complete individually in order to graduate. The objective is to allow the students to exhibit the abilities and knowledge they have learned in their courses.
SEGi College, we regularly gather industry experts to share their knowledge in their individual fields of expertise to give our students the finest education possible.
