Gratitude and appreciation are the best form of communication to bring everyone together

Thanksgiving is the prime day for giving thanks, and it is a great day to be spent with family, friends, and of course, food.

Joanne Low May Ying, Assistant Manager of Sales and the Student Representative Council of SEGi College Penang, organised SEGi College Penang Thanksgiving lunch on 30 November 2022 at SEGi SPACE.

The preparation for Thanksgiving Lunch is prepared at 9 am, with members of the Student Representative Council started setting up for the Thanksgiving Lunch and prepare the food to go on the dining table. All the food for this Thanksgiving Lunch was brought in and made on the day, and everyone was busy preparing and excited to share their food.

Thanksgiving Lunch was buffet style, where everyone was free to choose what they wanted to have. There were pizzas, sandwiches, curry, rice, noodles, curry puffs, samosas, fried chicken and cake.

It started with Cheah Gaik Chiam, Principal of SEGi College Penang, saying their thankful wishes for the year, followed by everyone who participated in the event. It was enlightening listening to everyone’s thankful wishes and watching everyone enjoy themselves with the available food. Many of the SEGi College Penang staff and students join in for the Thanksgiving Lunch as it goes on.

Overall, the Thanksgiving Lunch was a success, as everyone who participated was very happy and enjoyed all the available food. Everyone was able to grow closer together and be more thankful in their life for all their blessings.
