Since the hit of Covid-19 pandemic, the events industry was forced to digitally transform and most of the event’s organizers have switched their events to a virtual platform. Following the trends, students from MICE Management classes from Diploma in Tourism Management, School of Hospitality and Tourism had organized their first Hospitality & Tourism Webinar.
Webinar which entitled “Ripe for Rebound: The Current and Future of the Industry”, which were streamed on 25th November 2020 discussed on the current situation and future of the hospitality and tourism industry as the global hit by the Covid19 pandemic. We had invited experts from the industry to share their insights on the key issues arising from the pandemic. We had invited experts such as Dr. Johanudin bin Lahap @ Wahab, Associate Professor from Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management Universiti Teknologi of MARA Penang Campus, Mr. Mohd Lokman bin Laui, founder of Sheba Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd and last but not least, Mr Lawrence Ayerru, Human Resource Manager of Hompton Hotel by The Beach, Penang.
