SEGi‘s School of MPU recently organised a remarkable fundraising event titled “Give A Paw, A Change of Life” to support the noble cause of animal rescue. Recognising the financial challenges animal shelters face, the event aimed to raise funds to provide much-needed support for the care and well-being of needy animals.
Running an animal shelter entails significant expenses, including food, toys, and medical supplies. While it is a noble duty, it can financially overwhelm individuals. Understanding the importance of community involvement, SEGi took the initiative to organise a fundraising activity supporting animal shelters.
During the event, SEGi students set up an engaging booth where participants could participate in a roulette activity by contributing just RM1. This fun-filled activity not only provided entertainment but also offered participants a chance to win exciting lucky draw prizes. Moreover, the event served as a platform for individuals to donate directly to the animal shelter, fostering an atmosphere of support and compassion.
The funds collected from this event were allocated towards purchasing animal food, which was later donated to the PAWS Animal Shelter in Petaling Jaya. This contribution played a vital role in ensuring that the shelter could continue providing the necessary care and nourishment to needy animals.
SEGi students expressed their gratitude for making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals through their participation in the “Give A Paw, A Change of Life” fundraising event. Their active involvement showcased SEGi’s commitment to fostering a compassionate community that cares for animals and recognises the importance of their well-being.
