SEGi College Subang Jaya held a charity event called the “Bubur Lambuk Giveaway” on 18 April 2022. Led by the Student Affair team in collaboration with the School of Hospitality and Tourism, MAMEE, Celsius and Liquid Marketing, this event was not only about sharing food, but also about teamwork, togetherness and team spirit.
The team wholeheartedly prepared five hundred packs of bubur lambuk to be distributed to all SEGi staff, students, several charity homes, and a few mosques in the Subang Jaya area.
The students and staff who participated in this event were very happy and excited cooking and packing the porridge giveaways. This yearly event is something that everyone looks forward to every year, because it’d always a fun opportunity for those not the chef to showcase their cooking talents.
The objective of the event was to educate people to appreciate what we have and not to forget other people in need. The overwhelming number of volunteers and the joy on everyone’s face is a clear indication that this objective has been achieved.
