The Department of Psychology from SEGi received a warm invitation to SMK Seri Kembangan to deliver an enriching talk on “Penetapan SPM” on the 17th of April, 2023. Mr. Wan Mun Chian, a dedicated Psychology Lecturer at SEGi, served as the keynote speaker, accompanied by three dynamic Diploma in Psychology students, Jelena Ellyn Chong, Khugaan A/L S Sukumaran, and Merrasha A/P Pathmanathan, who contributed as assistant speakers.
During the talk, Mr. Wan engaged the students with a range of captivating topics, sharing personal anecdotes, delving into the psychology of paradigm shifts, discussing the creation of a “dream board,” and offering valuable insights on life after SPM. The three assistant speakers, being recent graduates of secondary school, took the stage to share their own SPM experiences, providing relatable perspectives for the students.
As the Psychology Department looks back on this successful engagement, there is anticipation for more such events in the future. The hope is to attract an even larger audience and inspire more students through engaging and informative talks. The collaborative effort of the Psychology Department, students, and support staff underscores the commitment to fostering meaningful connections and sharing knowledge beyond the confines of the classroom.
