SEGi Faculty of Business works with key opinion leader (KOL) agency to train students on livestreaming

SEGi is always committed to making our graduates industry-ready.  One of our initiatives is to bring industry into our classrooms where industry experts meet academicians to design assessments for students to have hands-on experience in the real business world.

On 16 March 2022, SEGi diploma students attended a sharing session by Mr Jerry Hang, the Founder of Moden KOL.  Mr Hang shared tips on having successful livestreaming, which is also part of the assignment set for our diploma students who enrolled the technoprenuership course.

Students enrolled technopreneur ship courses are required to set up a store on the Shopee platform and maximise its profits by selling a range of products.  They are required to use their creativity to decorate the store and have eye-catching contents to attract consumers.

Livstreaming is a popular technique used in online sales.  During this session, the students learnt how to effectively engage with customers and convince them to buy their products.

“Energy! Energy! Energy!” is the key factor for successful live streaming, according to Mr Hang.  He told the students about the three-second rules in working on livestreaming, which are *capture attention, beyond expectation and confident body language”.

During the session, Mr Hang also shared with students on how to create personal styles and positioning that will give their livestreaming an edge.

Our students had a fruitful learning session and have started to work on their first livestreaming project.

Stay tuned for their show!
