SEGi College Subang Jaya boosts Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM)

SEGi’s  Faculty of Engineering and IT  at its College in Subang Jaya, organised a STEM-based faculty week and carnival from 20 to 24 June 2022, with an attendance of over a hundred students.

Invention is the mother of all inventions; its importance in shaping the future workforce cannot be underestimated. Co-organised by the Sales and Marketing team, the event focused on cultivating students’ interest in STEM and on enhancing innovation which is when invention meets technology.

Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM)-based learning programmes aim to increase students’ interest in pursuing higher education and careers in these fields. This typically uses a blended learning model that combines traditional classroom teaching with online learning and hands-on activities and allows students to experience different ways of learning and problem-solving.

The Faculty aims to conduct more STEM-based workshops and programmes outside the SEGi campus, in schools and STEM centres.
