Jolly Phonics: building confidence in early literacy

14Phonics is a fundamental part of proper language and learning, especially with the young. SEGi College is happy to share that we recently met with International Jolly Phonics Trainers, Elaine Marcia Wong and Creena Alison Wong (founders of Jolly Learners), who introduced Jolly Phonics as a powerful and effective approach in supporting young children’s language and literacy development.

The response from the participants was extremely positive, because they were awed by both speakers’ presentations, especially when interesting anecdotes of children learning through the Jolly Phonics method were shared.

It was indeed a successful event, as evidenced by the post-event feedback were overwhelming. Here are some for reference:

Over 450 participants comprising of certificate, diploma and degree students under the ECE programme, ECE trainers, in-service preschool teachers/principals, as well as prospect students attended this very fun, educational and engaging event.
