A Warm Kuala Lumpur Welcome for New International Students

Eight international students joined a Kuala Lumpur day trip aimed at helping them adjust to life in Malaysia while building confidence in a new environment. The outing introduced them to the city’s culture, familiar landmarks, and daily surroundings, supporting a smoother transition into their academic journey. This forms part of SEGi College Subang Jaya’s ongoing effort to create an inclusive, supportive experience for students arriving from around the world.

The group visited the iconic Batu Caves, Central Market, and the Petronas Twin Towers, giving them a first look at Malaysia’s rich heritage and modern cityscape. Beyond sightseeing, the trip allowed students to bond with peers, make new friends, and begin forming a social support network — an important foundation for their emotional well-being and academic success.

Organised by the Student Affairs Department and coordinated by internship student Kaylie, the trip provided a meaningful welcome, helping students feel more connected, confident, and ready for the exciting journey ahead.

This event is organised in support of the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):
SDG 3 Good Health and Well-being
SDG 4 Quality Education
