SEGi is proud to support the professional development of early childhood educators through its involvement in the KP2026 Teacher Training for Kitakids Preschool, which began on 24 January at the Kitakids Clubhouse in Jalan Setiabudi, Bukit Damansara.
The first day of training marked an inspiring start as educators came together to explore the Introduction to the Kurikulum Prasekolah 2026 and key learning areas including Language and Literacy, Social Emotional Learning, and Spiritual, Moral and Citizenship Education. Through collaborative discussions and hands on activities, teachers actively engaged with the new curriculum, reflecting on how it shapes meaningful learning experiences for young children.
A key focus of the session was understanding how KP2026 prepares children for Standard 1, whether they enter at six or seven years old in 2027. Educators exchanged valuable insights on strengthening home centre partnerships and supporting parents in navigating questions surrounding school entry. The conversations highlighted the important role educators play in shaping a child’s lifelong relationship with learning.
SEGi’s participation as part of the KP2026 training team reflects its continued commitment to raising the quality of early childhood education in Malaysia. By supporting educators with practical understanding and confidence in implementing the new curriculum, SEGi contributes to a stronger foundation for children’s holistic development.
The training also fostered a strong sense of community among educators, creating a supportive space for shared learning, professional reflection and collaboration. Such partnerships are essential in ensuring that curriculum changes translate into positive outcomes for both teachers and children.
