SEGi has taken another bold step forward in shaping industry-ready graduates with the signing of strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with four key industry players: My Team Stars (M) Sdn Bhd, Razali Abd Karim & Co PLT, Siaw & Partner, and Thien Lee Marketing Sdn Bhd. This milestone reinforces SEGi’s longstanding commitment to bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world application, especially for students pursuing the Diploma in Accountancy and Bachelor of Accounting and Finance.
With Malaysia’s graduate employability rate standing at 84.4% according to the Ministry of Higher Education (https://www.mohe.gov.my/), the urgency to equip students with job-ready skills has never been greater. These MOUs are designed to provide students with structured exposure to the auditing, taxation, consultancy, and fast-moving consumer goods sectors. From internships and mentorships to practical insights and networking platforms, the collaboration aims to ensure graduates not only meet but exceed industry expectations.
Speaking at the event, the Principal of SEGi College Sarawak emphasised the significance of creating value beyond academic transcripts — a space where students can gain confidence, critical thinking, and professional relevance. Partner companies echoed this sentiment, pledging their support to mentor young talent while cultivating a pipeline of future-ready professionals who understand the needs of dynamic, evolving industries.
