SEGi College Sarawak made a significant impact on July 6, 2024, by hosting a successful EDU Fair at The Waterfront Hotel in Kuching. This event, which aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Quality Education (SDG 4) and Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), was designed to provide SPM leavers and other prospective students with detailed information about SEGi’s comprehensive programmes and career opportunities.
The Faculty of Law was a highlight of the fair, where faculty members, including Law Lecturers David Bong, Sathiswaran Sathiasegaran, Jonathan Tan, and Hetty Susilawati, alongside the Sales and Marketing Department, engaged with attendees. They presented the range of law programs available, from A-Level to Master of Laws (LLM), emphasising the structured pathways these programmes offer toward a successful legal career.
Adding a personal touch to the event, current students, including the SEGi Moot and Law Society Committee Secretary, Humaira binti Hossain, shared their personal experiences. Their testimonials provided prospective students and parents with a real-world glimpse into life at SEGi, highlighting the supportive community and high-quality education that have been instrumental in their academic and personal growth.
The interactive nature of the fair allowed attendees to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of what to expect from SEGi’s programs. This engagement not only enhanced the attendees’ knowledge but also reinforced SEGi College Sarawak’s reputation for delivering well-rounded and supportive education.
The success of the SEGi EDU Fair underscores the college’s commitment to academic excellence and its dedication to preparing students for meaningful careers. The focus on the Faculty of Law demonstrated SEGi’s ability to offer robust legal education that meets the needs of today’s dynamic job market.
This event is organised in support of the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):
