SEGi College Sarawak’s Faculty of Law students and lecturers had the opportunity to attend the Judicial Tour Programme 2022 organised by the Sarawak Judiciary and Federal Court Registrar of Malaysia at Plaza Merdeka in Kuching on 24 and 25 September 2022.
Many exciting activities were conducted during the programme, including the Kahoot Quiz Competition, organised exclusively for SEGi College Sarawak’s law students. Open-quiz competitions and lucky draws were held for members of the public, as well as drawing and colouring competitions for young children.
Besides these competitions, exhibitors from the Chief Registrar Office of the Malaysian Federal Court, the Royal Malaysian Police, the Ministry of Health Malaysia, the Legal Aid Department, the Prison Department, the Advocates Association of Sarawak (AAS), and other corporate and government agencies. All the exhibitors showcased their respective professional services, public-work items and tools.
Apart from the displays and exhibitions, the Sarawak Judiciary conducted two special briefing sessions on the topics of “The Legal and Judicial System in Malaysia” and “A Judicial Career in the Malaysian Judiciary”. The very instructional event was a special treat for our students, who got to learn firsthand from industry experts about the judicial and legal services provided by the Malaysian justice system.
