As part of our strategy to ‘Bring Industry into the Classroom’ (#SEGixIndustry), SEGi College Sarawak has partnered with Glamz Genting to mentor our students in studying current business norms. The students from the Faculty of Business will work with Glamz Genting over the next few months to understand the hospitality industry.
The SEGixIndustry mission is to maximise our students’ learning experiences through collaboration with industry to enhance the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, and industry experiences. This is important to support our students to access the knowledge, skills, networks and resources necessary to turn their ideas into successful creations.
Hand in hand with the industry, this exciting project will showcase the students’ ideas and creativity in handling today’s business challenges due to the current economic situation. The participants in this collaboration are students taking the Diploma in Business Management, the Diploma in Human Resources and the Diploma in Law. In this collaboration, the students have been assigned to manage economic pressure in the hospitality industry.
The attachment will also allow the students to play the role of a hotel manager, allowing them to develop interpersonal and decision-making skills and the ability to understand the business world.
SEGi College is constantly looking for new ways and new partners in the industry to engage our students in their learning.
