SEGi College Sarawak Nurtures Young Minds with “Seeds of Strength” Event

Passionate students at SEGi College Sarawak are championing early childhood mental health with their insightful event, “Seeds of Strength.” Organised by the dedicated students of the Diploma in Early Childhood Education (DECE) programme, the event brought together four expert speakers to share their insights with an engaged audience:

  • Miss Chan Wan Xin, a seasoned school counselor, provided valuable insights into common well-being challenges faced by young children.
  • Miss Ivana Tiffany Berenai Mason, a clinical psychologist specializing in early childhood mental health, offered a comprehensive overview of the topic.
  • Mr. Khor Wai On, an experienced occupational therapist from Redwood Therapy and Learning Center, shared practical strategies for managing anxiety in children.
  • Miss Nur Inezza Ashrina Binti Abing from the One Stop Early Intervention Center (OSEIC), shed light on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and its impact on young learners.

The success of “Seeds of Strength” is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the DECE students, who spent over two months meticulously planning and organizing the event. Their efforts created an enriching and informative experience for all participants.
