Education field trip to explore the innovation and industry trends

Students from the Faculty of Communication, Design, and Information Technology (FOCADIT) embarked on an exciting educational field trip to the research and discovery open day at University Malaysia Sarawak. This field trip aimed to provide students with valuable insights into the latest industry trends and technological advancements. The trip offered a unique opportunity for students to learn from experts, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and explore innovative exhibits. This trip involving students from Diploma in Information Technology (DIIT) and Diploma in Creative Multimedia (DICM). 

One of the highlights of the day was a captivating talk on the importance of converting one’s interests into a career. The speaker emphasized the significance of pursuing a profession driven by passion, urging students to identify their true interests and explore career possibilities aligned with them. This session served as an inspiration for students, helping them understand the potential of turning their passions into successful career paths. 

Another fascinating demonstration involved the exploration of text to image generation using stable diffusion technology. Students witnessed firsthand how cutting-edge algorithms and machine learning techniques can convert textual input into visually compelling images. The students also had the opportunity to witness the transformative power of 3D printer technology in various industries.
