At SEGi College Sarawak, this spirit came alive through the Lou Sang Event 2026, held on 26 February 2026 at the college lobby in conjunction with Chinese New Year Eve. What made the occasion meaningful was not just the celebration itself, but the shared effort behind it, as Diploma in Culinary Arts students and lecturers came together to prepare, organise, and present the event for the campus community.
For the students, the experience was more than food preparation. It was a chance to apply their culinary skills in a real-world setting while learning how tradition, presentation, hygiene, and teamwork come together in one meaningful activity. Under the guidance of lecturers, students managed the preparation process carefully, ensuring that the Lou Sang was presented with care, respect, and proper food safety standards.
