SEGi recently equipped its students with vital digital accounting skills through the AutoCount Cloud Accounting One Day Workshop on 20 June 2025. Led by FOBA Programme Leader Vincent Cheong and Accounting Lecturer Jessa Tan, the session offered practical, hands-on training in Malaysia’s top cloud-based accounting system.
Covering core modules like general ledger entry, sales and purchases, e-invoicing basics, and bank reconciliation, students gained essential exposure to the real-world tasks demanded in today’s digital-first accounting profession. This initiative reflects SEGi College Sarawak’s ongoing commitment to preparing future-ready graduates who can thrive in a tech-driven economy.
According to the World Economic Forum, 42% of core skills required for jobs will change by 2025, highlighting the urgency of embedding digital tools into education. Workshops like this also promote lifelong learning, aligning with global efforts to ensure inclusive, equitable quality education and sustainable economic growth.
