Transformative fusion: Triple-R and SEGi poster metamorphosis

In accordance with SEGi University and Colleges’ mission towards Environmental Sustainability, SEGi College Penang (SCPG) recently organised a poster competition with the theme Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, named Triple-R, under the class subject Multimedia Studies under the supervision of Amizar, a lecturer in the School of Information and Technology (SOIT). In an era defined by environmental challenges, the concept of sustainability has gained paramount importance. The TRIPLE-R Initiative, an innovative approach to environmental stewardship, has emerged as a beacon of hope. This initiative encompasses three fundamental pillars: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, collectively known as the TRIPLE-R

These three ‘Rs’ of reducing, reusing and recycling simply means that we should reduce the amount of waste we create, reuse as many items as we can, and recycle man-made and natural materials to prolong their lifespan and maximise their uses as much as possible.

Being involved in this poster competition gave the students the much needed awareness to conserve energy and preserve the environment, all in accordance with SEGi’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

As we partake in this transformative endeavor, let us remember that the pursuit of a harmonious relationship with our environment is a shared responsibility—one that requires unwavering dedication and the unity of purpose. The TRIPLE-R Initiative stands as a testament to our capacity to reshape the narrative, fostering a world where sustainability is not just a word, but a way of life.
