SEGI-FEASTA! 2025: Where Ideas Became Enterprises

SEGI-FEASTA! 2025 was more than a student event — it was a real-world entrepreneurial lab that brought innovation, collaboration, and enterprise to life. Organised by students of the Entrepreneurship class from the School of Hospitality & Tourism Management (SOHTM), this two-day showcase transformed the SEGi College Penang lobby into a buzzing marketplace of ideas and creativity.

Held on 24–25 July 2025, the event featured student-run food and beverage ventures like “SNIP & SPILL BY T&A BITES,” “Mee + Cha,” “Tiara-Miss-U,” and “JasMi Fruit,” all conceptualised and operated by participants. It kicked off with an opening address by the College Principal, followed by a business pitching session evaluated by seasoned industry professionals. This immersive format gave students hands-on exposure to launching and running actual micro-businesses — from product development to customer interaction and financial management.

But beyond stalls and sales, SEGI-FEASTA! embodied a bigger mission: equipping students with entrepreneurial thinking for a changing world. The initiative reflected the spirit of SDG 4: Quality Education by translating textbook knowledge into practical experience. It also supported SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, helping students visualise entrepreneurship not just as a theory, but as a viable career pathway.

From understanding pricing strategies and inventory control to pitching for investment and receiving feedback from mock investors, students gained the skills, confidence, and mindset to grow ideas into scalable ventures. The event fostered leadership, innovation, teamwork, and financial literacy — all essential for navigating the future economy.

SEGI-FEASTA! 2025 reaffirmed SEGi College Penang’s commitment to student-centred, future-ready learning. With every sale made and every idea pitched, students moved one step closer to becoming the entrepreneurs, changemakers, and leaders of tomorrow.

This event is organised in support of the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):
