SEGi College Penang’s Psychology Club recently conducted the Psychology Awareness Day to introduce students to psychology and its concepts, enhance their understanding of psychology, and inform them about areas not covered in the programme syllabus.
The main objective of holding this event was to share the differences between Eastern and Western psychology. This was displayed on three boards for the participants to refer to and begin discussions. Then they had to participate in a short quiz which required them to share their opinions regarding the different applications of both Eastern and Western psychology. Winners received Starbucks cards worth RM50 and RM25.
The event was an apparent success as the organisers got positive feedback from the participants who said they were glad to have had the fun and appreciated this gathering right before the new semester began in August 2022. The Psychology Club hopes to recruit more members and develop many more inspirational activities in future events.
