Corporate Philosophy Session: Embedding Ethics into Business Practice

On 6th August 2025, the Faculty of Business, Accountancy and Law hosted a Corporate Philosophy session at SEGi College Penang’s Multipurpose Lab, where 18 MGT3014 Business Ethics students and members of the public explored the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The session featured student presentations and interactive discussions that highlighted how ethical practices and responsible decision-making shape modern business. By engaging with real-world perspectives, participants gained insights into the role of corporations in balancing profit with accountability to society.

More than an academic requirement, the session encouraged students to reflect on how future business leaders can drive sustainable change.

This initiative also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 16 Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
