SEGi College Penang’s School of Business and Accounting students recently had the excellent opportunity to visit Deloitte Penang, a leading global financial consultancy.
Thirty-three students from the Bachelor of Finance and Accounting (BAAF), Diploma in Accounting (DIA), and Certificates in Business (CIB) programmes accompanied by their lecturers Khairun Syafiza, Patricia Wee and Ong Siew Ling made this learning trip to Deloitte at Hunza Tower Penang.
The students were introduced to six staff members with experiences ranging from partner to senior associate audit and assurance. From the things that they said, the students learned about Deloitte’s history and work culture, its global presence as a leading consultancy serving Fortune-500 firms, as well as the stringent standards it sets on its employees, requiring basic degrees of CGPAs of 3.5 and above as well as professional qualifications to be accepted into the company.
SEGi College Penang thanks Deloitte Penang for taking the time to enhance SEGi students’ knowledge through this practical lesson and hopes to collaborate further in the future.
