♻️ Giving Pre-Loved Items a New Purpose: SEGi Psychology Club Hosts Nifty Thrifty Thrift Sale

SEGi College Penang recently hosted the Nifty Thrifty Thrift Sale, a three-day sustainability initiative organised by the SEGi Psychology Club. The event brought together students, lecturers, and staff in support of responsible consumption while promoting a more environmentally conscious campus community.

Throughout the event, a wide variety of pre-loved clothing, books, stationery, and accessories were made available for sale, giving these items a second life instead of ending up as waste. The thrift sale encouraged participants to embrace sustainable shopping habits while discovering unique treasures at affordable prices.

Made possible through generous donations from the SEGi community, the event highlighted the collective effort of students and staff in supporting environmental sustainability. Every donated item contributed to reducing waste and encouraging the reuse of valuable resources.

Beyond promoting sustainable consumption, the thrift sale fostered a strong sense of community spirit. Volunteers worked together to organise the event, while shoppers demonstrated that small, thoughtful purchasing decisions can create a meaningful positive impact on both society and the environment.

The success of the Nifty Thrifty Thrift Sale reflects SEGi College Penang’s commitment to nurturing socially responsible students who understand the importance of sustainability and community engagement. The initiative also showcased how simple everyday actions can contribute towards building a greener future.

SEGi College Penang extends its heartfelt appreciation to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported the event. Together, the campus community proved that giving pre-loved items a new purpose is a meaningful step towards creating a more sustainable and caring society.
