On 2nd April 2026, students from the Faculty of Business, Accountancy and Law (FoBAL), enrolled in the Organisational Behaviour course at SEGi College Penang, attended an insightful Industry Classroom session at Gurney Bay Hotel, a PARKROYAL Partner Hotel. The session provided students with valuable exposure to a real-world professional environment.
This industry engagement offered students a unique opportunity to step beyond the classroom and experience how organisational behaviour concepts are applied in actual workplace settings. It served as an important platform to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice.
During the session, students were introduced to the operational dynamics of the hospitality industry, gaining a deeper understanding of workplace culture, teamwork, leadership, and communication within a professional setting. These insights are essential in preparing them for future careers.
The Industry Classroom initiative emphasised experiential learning, allowing students to observe and interact within a real business environment. This approach enhances their ability to relate theoretical knowledge to practical situations, strengthening both understanding and application.
The session also played a key role in enhancing students’ career readiness, equipping them with the confidence and awareness needed before entering professional working environments.
