Chocolate with a Conscience: SEGi College Penang Students Discover the Sweet Taste of Sustainability

SEGi College Penang recently embarked on a delectable adventure to the Chocolate Museum in Kota Damansara. Southeast Asia’s latest and most interactive chocolate museum opened its doors to these eager students, offering a fascinating journey through the history, production, and artistry of chocolate. Industry expert Chef Muhammad Nizaz Bin Ramly guided the students, sharing his extensive knowledge and passion for all things cocoa.

From intricate chocolate sculptures, including a breathtaking replica of the Petronas Twin Towers, to digital displays showcasing the bean-to-bar process, the students were captivated. They discovered the surprising versatility of cocoa, learning about its applications in skincare and cosmetics.

A highlight of the trip was the chocolate-making workshop where students witnessed firsthand the transformation of raw ingredients into delectable treats by a professional chef. The experience culminated in a visit to the museum shop, where students were spoilt for choice with a variety of chocolate brands.
