In October, DICA and DIBA students from SEGi College Penang’s School of Business and School of Hospitality and Tourism Management organised two webinar sessions, each on online business (e-commerce) and a hospitality management conference.
The first webinar was Hospitality Management Conference, and Muhamad Irfan Bin Bustaipo was invited as a guest speaker for the webinar session. The main objective of organising this webinar is to share some techniques on hospitality management with participants.
The second webinar was entitled “Online Business: E-Commerce” and our students collaborated with Zetpy Organization the founder, Adrian Oh, was invited as a guest speaker for the event. The objective of this webinar was to enhance participants’ knowledge of the modern industry and online business (E-Commerce).
After the webinar session, a mini fun activity was hosted by the speakers with the audiences to promote a better understanding of the webinar sessions. SEGI students also had a Question and Answer session with the participants for 15 to 20 minutes, including getting their feedback and opinions about the two separate webinar sessions.
Lastly, students also provided e-certs photos to the participants and certs to the speakers as a token of appreciation. By organising this event, students also learned how to effectively organise an event or webinar session, which improved their leadership skills, time management, cooperation, and communication skills.
