SEGi College Penang recently came alive with the vibrant atmosphere of the SEGi Bite Bazaar, where student entrepreneurs showcased their culinary creativity through a variety of delicious food and refreshing beverages. The event brought together students, lecturers, and staff for a day filled with flavour, fun, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Before opening their stalls to the campus community, the participating teams took part in an exciting business pitching session, presenting their food business ideas to an esteemed panel of industry judges from SBK Coffee, The Table Cafe, and Tanah Aina. From innovative concepts and branding strategies to business feasibility and marketing plans, each team confidently demonstrated their creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial mindset while receiving valuable feedback from experienced industry professionals.
Following the pitching session, visitors enjoyed a wide selection of food and drinks prepared by the student-run businesses, including Wok & Sip, Cheesykut Delight, Crunch & Sip by DnA, and Bubble Lab. Each stall reflected the students’ dedication, innovation, and passion for delivering quality products to the campus community.
Beyond serving delicious food, the bazaar provided students with invaluable real-world business experience. Participants applied classroom knowledge in areas such as marketing, operations, customer service, budgeting, and teamwork, strengthening both their entrepreneurial and communication skills.
The enthusiastic support from lecturers, staff, and fellow students contributed greatly to the success of the event, creating a lively and encouraging environment where young entrepreneurs could showcase their talents and gain practical business exposure.
