SEGi College Kuala Lumpur’s Photo Scavenger Hunt Opens Minds

Recently, SEGi College Kuala Lumpur’s School of Communication and Creative Design (SOCAD) challenged ten students from the Graphic Design and Multimedia Design programme to find and take photos of twenty interesting objects here in Kuala Lumpur, well known for its historical places, culture, and nature.

The students were taught that they do not need to be in a beautiful space to experience beauty. The ability to change their perspectives can happen in the same space they travel to campus every day. The objective of the project was to change how they look at their surroundings.

Activities such as this Photo Scavenger Hunt help students to unlocks a part of themselves, to see things that were always there but somehow not noticed, opening a new dimension in the brain to see those same subjects from new metaphorical angles and perspectives.

The Photo Scavenger Hunt turned out to be a very fun experience for the students, who enjoyed seeing each other’s creativity as they shared their pictures back on campus. Three winners were selected, and it was a very hard decision to make. Every photo is unique to the person who has taken the image. Congratulations to all of the contestants and winners!
