KUALA LUMPUR, 30 June 2026 – The Indian Cultural Society (ICS) of SEGi College Kuala Lumpur successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 30 June 2026, bringing together members for an afternoon of reflection, leadership transition, and future planning.
The AGM, held from 2.30 p.m. to 3.45 p.m., was attended by the society’s Advisor, Mr. Rishikumar Selvadurai, Co-Advisor, Mr. Vijayasekar Paramasivam, and a quorum of 15 student members.
The meeting began by welcoming new students and introducing them to the Indian Cultural Society, encouraging them to become active members and participate in the society’s cultural, educational, and community-based initiatives.
A key highlight of the AGM was the election of the new committee for the 2026/2027 term. Members cast their votes to appoint a new leadership team that will guide the society’s activities and continue fostering a vibrant and inclusive student community.
The AGM also marked the official conclusion of the 2025/2026 committee’s term. During the handover session, outgoing committee members formally transferred their duties and responsibilities to the newly elected team, ensuring a smooth transition of leadership.
Looking ahead, members discussed and proposed a range of new activities and programmes for the upcoming academic year. These initiatives aim to celebrate Indian culture, strengthen student engagement, and create meaningful opportunities for learning, collaboration, and community involvement.
