School of Communication & Creative Design (SOCAD) from SEGi College Kuala Lumpur has a Photowalk event with the students on 25 November 2022. In this event, Nikon sponsored all students with a camera and had a walking trip around Kuala Lumpur city to do an outdoor photoshoot joined by lecturers.
The main objective of this event is to give the students some exposure to basic photography knowledge of camera use and composition as well as to demonstrate outdoor photography skills. A professional photographer from Nikon guided the activity, which helped our students explore more about outdoor photography instead of having only an indoor session in the classroom.
With a total of 10 students from the Diploma in Graphic Design, this Photowalk has allowed students to experience outdoor photography in a group. The trip started from SEGi College Kuala Lumpur to Masjid Jamek and Central Market at 9.30 am until 11.30 am. After two hours of photoshoot, they all returned to SEGi College Kuala Lumpur and gathered all of the photos to present.
Many thanks to Nikon for the sponsorship and the meaningful knowledge for our students. The students had so much fun joining this activity, and they had a chance to gather and enjoy the activity as a team. SOCAD is looking forward to conducting many more activities and hopes to have more participation and support in the future.
