SEGi College KL’s Certificate in Information Technology programme recently organised an exciting and hands-on class activity, “Assemble and Disassemble Computer”, for their PC Maintenance module.
The activity was designed to teach students about computer hardware, software, networking, and the assembly and disassembly process. The two sessions were a huge success, with all students completing the task and demonstrating their understanding of the importance and function of each component.
Data and statistics from the activity demonstrated the program’s effectiveness in developing young IT talent. According to post-activity surveys, 90% of students felt more confident in their understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking, and 85% thought their skills in assembling and disassembling a computer had improved. Furthermore, 80% of students felt more confident in their IT career prospects.
