“How education has positively changed my life” : an open letter to a form 5 student

Quote by Michaelangelo "I'm still learning"

“How Education has Positively Changed My Life”: An open letter to a Form 5 student who is undecided as to whether he wants to work after his SMP or to further his studies.

Dear Student,

In 2021, education is the foundation that has allowed us, as citizens of the world, to develop and prosper by integrating the knowledge that we have accumulated responsibly and creatively for the betterment of our society. As individuals, we will not be able to attain any measure of success without getting at least a Bachelor’s degree. Education can allow us to grow and learn intellectually by giving us the opportunity to enhance our perception of today’s society and the world we live in. Education can allow us to construct and develop our own views of these perceptions and by incorporating these views and opinions into our core values.

When a student graduates with a Bachelor’s degree, he has a better opportunity of securing his dream job. This job can offer him job satisfaction and a lucrative salary. Such a high salary can enable him to enhance his standard and quality of life. Only through education can we hope to achieve excellence and success in our respective careers. Only through education can we hope to enhance and broaden our world views intellectually. Only through education can we hope to reach for the stars and beyond.

Just try and imagine a world without education. It would be like living in a world without colours, without sound, without smell, without life. Education has changed my life. Education has literally changed my life for the better. Any successes that I have personally or professionally achieved, I owe to the education that I received.

Thank you.

Warmest regards,
