Embarking on an exciting educational adventure, SEGi College Kuala Lumpur took students on a journey to the Anatomy Museum and Department at Hospital Cancelor Tuanku Muhriz UKM, Cheras. This first-of-its-kind experience aimed to let students explore the incredible human body up close, making learning come alive beyond the classroom.
The visit aimed to show students both the normal and not-so-normal sides of the human body – an essential part of their studies. The museum displayed carefully preserved specimens showcasing organs, bones, and muscles. Each display came with simple explanations and labeled pictures, making it easier to understand how our bodies work.
Moving beyond just humans, students also got to see preserved animals like cats and rodents. The museum’s displays, showing healthy and sick body parts, got students thinking about how our lifestyles can affect our health.
A highlight of the visit was seeing preserved cadavers, which are bodies used for studying. Students even got to touch and learn from them, guided by museum staff who know a lot about the human body.
The museum was well-organised, with access to lots of specimens that helped students understand human anatomy. This visit wasn’t just about learning facts; it showed why staying healthy is so important in real life.
In short, the Anatomy Museum visit took learning to a whole new level. Students explored the secrets of the human body and learned how diseases can affect us. This memorable experience not only helped them learn more about their studies but also inspired them to take care of their health.
