Another happy SEGi graduate speaks her mind

Graduation day is a monumental milestone in a person’s life. I was a student nurse from Cohort 29 at SEGi College Kuala Lumpur who has successfully completed her Diploma in Nursing after four meaningful years. She was given the High-Achiever Award in the Diploma in Nursing Programme. Feeling overjoyed and overwhelmed, she tells her SEGi success story.  She began her studies at Segi College Kuala Lumpur in July 2018 after SPM, and she is profusely grateful to have chosen SEGi for its commitment to her education. When the world was brought to its knees by the COVID-19 in the very beginning of 2020, her studies had to be halted. What was supposed to have been a three-year programme had to be extended an extra year because the Ministry of Health did not allow physical classes nor clinical attachments, for obvious reasons.  Forced to stop face-to-face learning and having had to make do with online classes, meetings and exams, she found it very challenging, but nevertheless, never gave up. So she always practised her skills at simulation laboratories whenever she could to achieve the desired level of efficiency while waiting for clinical practice.

She says that a great teacher is a treasure to students, parents, and the community at large. She is very grateful to have had wonderful and supportive lecturers and clinical instructors at Segi College Kuala Lumpur. “You teach us with love, effort and energy that draws in every student. The best lecturers teach from the heart. Thank you for all that you do for us.”

She ended this interview by saying how very thrilled she is to have become a Staff Nurse working in one of the top distinguished private hospitals in the Klang Valley. “Thank you, SEGi College Kuala Lumpur, for giving me this wonderful and reliable Diploma in Nursing Programme designed to prepare students to be registered nurses. Without you, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thank you also for organising this wonderful convocation ceremony for us.”

“The tassel was worth the hassle! Congratulations to everyone who attended this graduation ceremony! Here, I share some memorable pictures with you.”
