On 2 June 2022, SEGi College Kuala Lumpur’s School of Education brought Mr Heikki Vartia from Hei Schools, Finland, to visit two local preschools, the Julia Gabriel Child Enrichment Centre and Tree Top House. Both these schools provide for the care and education of children from the age of eighteen months up to six years. The purpose of the visit was for Mr Vartia to meet the principals and to see the operations of preschools in Malaysia.
During the visits, Heikki spoke to the principals about the HEI Diploma along with the local Diploma and their benefits. He later met with the Principal of SEGi College Kuala Lumpur, Mr Sri Jaiandran, to discuss strengthening collaborations with SEGi.
Finland’s education system is considered one of the best in the world, and many schools, principals, parents and teachers in Malaysia have embraced the HEI Diploma.
