From the Classroom to the Heart of Democracy 🇲🇾
On 15 July 2026, 21 lecturers from SEGi College Kuala Lumpur, predominantly from the Business School, participated in an educational visit to the Parliament of Malaysia.
The visit included guided tours of both the Dewan Rakyat (House of Representatives) and Dewan Negara (Senate), providing participants with valuable insight into Malaysia’s legislative process, parliamentary procedures, and democratic governance.
Beyond deepening their understanding of the nation’s policymaking framework, the visit highlighted the connection between governance, public policy, and the business environment. The experience provided lecturers with practical perspectives that can be integrated into teaching, enriching classroom discussions and preparing students to better understand the broader social, economic, and political landscape.
