You’re done with SPM and you have no idea what to do. Fret not! This surely is pretty common among most SPM leavers, but there are plenty of things you can try!
- Go and volunteer.
There are organisations that would actually pay you if you volunteer to work for them. This would definitely look good on your resume while you got that “ka-ching” on the side. Besides, this could also help you with your networking and soft skills.
- Set your target.
Find a course you are interested in and pick one with transferrable skill. Always remember, now, it’s the time for you to think above and beyond. Make sure the skills that you can get from a course that you choose is not limited, you need to be flexible as we are now venturing to a new world filled with possibilities.
- Get yourself prepared for the next step.
I’m sure most of us just want to laze around all day and do nothing once exams are over, but now competitions are getting tougher. To get yourself equipped for the next step, you can join any preparatory courses in the college of your choice. This not only will get you accustomed to the place but you’ll surely will experience a new college environment that would definitely broaden your horizon.
- Pick your friends wisely.
This is once you have gotten your way in the college itself. The friends you have can either make or break your college life. If you think you do not belong to a “groupie”, always know you have the option to distant yourself from the group and find new ones!
BEST OF LUCK!
