At SEGi College we take great pride in the success of our alumni. One such person is 23-year-old Ng Kin Han, who has been employed as an animator and video-editor at Expert Media Global Sdn Bhd in Petaling Jaya since he graduated from SEGi College Subang Jaya.
Expert Media Global is a creative digital agency dedicated to creating impactful impressions of digital landscapes for their customers. They help brands communicate and deliver unique value propositions across different sectors and also help start-ups and SME’s kick-off their online presence quickly with affordable budgets from planning, designing and executing digital marketing strategies including branding, advertising, content creation and media management.
Ng is proud and happy that he chose the Diploma in Creative Multimedia Course at SEGi College Subang Jaya. He decided on this field of study because he has always had a strong interest in creating multimedia content. After SPM, he did some research to find the best college to pursue his dreams and came across a few colleges in and around Subang Jaya that offer similar programmes. He says he finally chose SEGi College Subang Jaya because the curriculum covers a wide range of interesting multimedia studies and because SEGi Group of Colleges is one of the premier institutions of higher learning in the country. He adds that the location also made a difference.
Ng speaks fondly of his years at SEGi College Subang Jaya, his fondest memory being that he had the opportunity to be involved in many events and activities, which brought out his critical-thinking and planning talents. He was involved with several college events and says the most memorable one was an outdoor CSR project for beach clean-up activities. Although it was not directly related to my major studies, he says it meant a lot to him to be able to gain vast experience in developing soft skills and inter-personal skills, a part of the holistic education that SEGi College does not ever compromise on. He says the experience allowed him to grow as an individual, especially when he discovered his planning and execution skills, and it helped him and the friends he made within and outside of his programme to develop positive attitudes and to find great personal well-being.
Ng sums up his SEGi education as being instrumental in his success and the reason he was immediately sought after by his current company soon after completing his studies based on his academic achievement, portfolio and all the skills he gained from SEGi College Subang Jaya.
