This followed the floods that also happened in December 2021 and January this year. Needless to say, floods are traumatic. They cause damage to property, sometimes destroying entire homes, and in extreme cases, they even claim lives.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9411 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/colleges.segi.edu.my\/subangjaya\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2022\/03\/flood-2-300x223.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"223\" srcset=\"https:\/\/colleges.segi.edu.my\/subangjaya\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2022\/03\/flood-2-300x223.png 300w, https:\/\/colleges.segi.edu.my\/subangjaya\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2022\/03\/flood-2.png 673w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>SEGi College\u2019s School of MPU and Language, in an effort to educate the public on how to face, manage and overcome another such crisis, recently conducted a virtual talk entitled \u2018Flood Safety: By Choice, Not By Chance in collaboration with the Ecotourism and Conservation Society Malaysia (ECOMY).<\/p>\n<p>Mr Andrew Sebastian, President and CEO of ECOMY, spoke about how to prepare for a flood, including basic items, emergency food, medication, and emergency kits.
