The session brought together 58 students from the Diploma in Psychology and Diploma in Early Childhood Education programmes for a closer look at how inclusive learning environments can better support neurodivergent children.

The session was delivered by Ms Aina Hadirah Zainal, a developmental psychologist, Special Educational Needs therapist, and co-founder of Bloomie. Through her sharing, students explored key areas such as neurodiversity, sensory processing, classroom support, and the importance of creating learning spaces where every child feels accepted, included, and able to participate.

One of the most memorable parts of the session was the hands-on introduction to sensory tools. Students were able to see and explore how different resources can support children with diverse sensory needs, making the learning experience more practical and easier to connect with real classroom situations.

The session was interactive from start to finish, with students asking questions, sharing thoughts, and taking part in discussions. More than just a talk, it gave students a clearer understanding of how empathy, awareness, and the right support strategies can shape better learning experiences for neurodivergent children.

For future psychologists and early childhood educators, the session served as a timely reminder that inclusive education is not only about placing children in the same classroom. It is about creating an environment where every child is understood, supported, and given the space to belong.

This initiative supports the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

SDG 3 Good Health and Wellbeing
SDG 4 Quality Education
SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities

Students Learn Inclusive Classroom Practices for Neurodivergent Learners Inclusion becomes more meaningful when future educators and psychology practitioners understand how children experience the world differently.
